As of this writing, we haven’t seen any public acknowledgment from Etsy regarding the visibility issue affecting a portion of sellers this week. Affected sellers continue reporting the problem through official channels, and we’re hearing genuine frustration about the lack of communication given how directly this touches the season’s most important weekend.
Not every shop is affected, worth remembering
To be clear given how much attention this story is getting: multiple sellers report normal or even above-average visibility this week, consistent with expected seasonal patterns. This appears to be affecting a subset of shops, not the platform broadly, though it’s genuinely serious for those it is affecting.
Black Friday prep: mostly complete across the sellers we heard from
Despite the uncertainty around the search issue, most sellers report their promotional setup, shipping cutoffs, and message templates are finalized and ready, a good sign that the weeks of preparation we’ve covered throughout November are paying off regardless of this separate, unresolved concern.
Thanksgiving week hosting sales, a small bright spot
A handful of sellers in home and party categories reported solid hosting-related sales this week, consistent with the narrower Thanksgiving-specific search pattern we discussed a few weeks back.
